Download the zip file from the link provided by ShareIt or from Members Area. The downloaded zip file contain one (1) executable (.exe) file. Unzip or uncompress the zip file. Save the executable file in your PC hard disk. The executable file can only run on Windows platform.

The executable file is the SocketMail Installation Wizard (the installer). The installer purpose is to copy/transfer SocketMail files to your server and also to set the file and folder permission correctly. Therefore, you can save time uploading the files manually to the server and have to check the permissions manually.

To start, double-click on the installer file. Follow the next section for the steps and explanation of the steps. The steps shown below are applicable to SocketMail Lite, Pro and Solo.

Installation Wizard

1.	Double-click the installer executable file. The installer wizard will be launched. Click Next to proceed.
2.	Read the license agreement. You need to accept the agreement to be able to proceed with the next process.
3.	You may choose to view the message that comes along with the installer. The message is a reminder that tells you that your license number can be obtained in the Members Area and to check your mailbox for the e-mail from us regarding your access to the Members Area.
4.	Choose either to install on your local hard disk or to install it on your server (remote machine), then click Next to proceed.
5.	If you chose to install it on the remote machine (your server), enter your server FTP access information.
6.	Once you have filled in the FTP access information, click on browse button (under the Package Installation Path on the FTP Server section). A popup will appear for you to choose which folder on your server to install SocketMail.
7.	Installer wizard will automatically create a sub-folder named mail in the folder you chose in step 6 above. The files will be copied to that folder later on.
8.	If you want the installer wizard to install in a different folder name than 'mail' or you do not want any 'mail' folder, (i.e. you want installer to copy files to the folder you chose), you can click on Advanced.. button and change the Folder Name in the Custom Package Folder Name section.
9.	If everything is fine. Click Next to proceed. The next page will show you the URL where SocketMail will be uploaded to. Click Next to start file transfer.
10.	Installer will show the summary of settings and information where it will copy the files to. Click Install to start the file transfer and installation process.
11.	The transfer process starts.
12.	Once completed, installer will show this screen. Also, installer wizard will launch your default browser and call the installer page from your site to start the final installation process. Get ready with your license ID.
